Father Daughter Team Wins Crappie Tournament
Austin Taylor and his 10-year-old daughter Lily Mae won a crappie tournament at Wright Patman Lake in Texas, breaking the lake record and catching a big crappie using forward-facing sonar and hand-tied jigs. The father-daughter team practiced for the tournament and found the crappies they targeted, despite cold water and sluggish fish. They used live minnows and a 14-foot-long rod to tease the crappie into eating, and Lily scooped it in a landing net. The team's victory was a testament to their practice and teamwork, and they even made it to a dance after the tournament.
